This residence Pool House in Reno, Nevada, is a modern retreat that extends living and leisure into nature. The structure connects a contemporary pool pavilion and outdoor kitchen to the surrounding landscape through transitions of light, texture, and material.
The design enhances outdoor living with a balance of luxury and restraint. A custom steel-and-wood pergola defines the space, casting dynamic shadow and shade across the deck and spa area. The pool house opens directly to the pool through large sliding doors and a bi-fold pass-through window that connects the kitchen to the outdoor dining terrace.
Each architectural element serves dual functions: providing shade and privacy while maintaining views toward the creek, main house and beyond. A timeless yet modern project that complements the existing home.
